About SalaryBases

SalaryBases is an independent website about pay. It exists to make official wage statistics easier to use when you are weighing a job offer, asking for a raise or comparing careers, and to say clearly where those statistics stop.

The site is not affiliated with the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics or any other government agency whose data it reproduces.

How the content is made

Guides are drafted with AI assistance and then edited, and they say so. They have not been reviewed by a licensed financial, tax or legal professional. Pay figures are not typed in by hand: tables come straight from the official data files, and an automated check fails if a figure in a guide's text does not match the source data. Guides that offered only general advice without data or sources have been archived rather than kept in circulation.

The full list of datasets, what they include and leave out, and how the estimator works is on the data sources and methodology page.

What the estimates are

Official figures and estimates are kept apart. The salary estimator gives model-based estimates that are only indicative: they are not official statistics or salary offers, and they can be far from real pay. Everything on the site is general information, not financial, tax, legal or career advice.

Who runs SalaryBases

SalaryBases is owned and run by David Rosa López, a private individual established in Spain. The site is free and is intended to be funded by advertising from Google AdSense, shown only to visitors who accept it. The full owner details required by Spanish law are in the Legal Notice, and how personal data is handled is in the Privacy Policy.
